Measure precisely and stir for the time on your data sheet, scraping the sides and bottom of the cup.

Calculator results are planning estimates. Check your resin maker's instructions, mixing ratio, and product limits before pouring.

Mixing by the correct ratio basis

Read the product label to see whether its ratio is by volume or by weight. A 2:1 ratio by volume means two measured volume parts of Part A for one volume part of Part B. It does not automatically mean the same ratio by weight when the parts have different densities.

Enter the total amount, the labelled ratio, and the density values when converting between mass and volume. The result is a mathematical split, not permission to change a manufacturer's formula.

Use only the resin and hardener designed to work together. Check the technical data sheet for the exact ratio and measuring method.

Mix Ratio Calculator

Split a target mixed amount into Part A and Part B using the ratio printed for the exact resin system. First identify whether the maker states the ratio by volume or by weight.

How to use the mix ratio calculator

  1. Enter the total amount you want to mix.
  2. Select milliliters or grams as the basis of the total amount.
  3. Enter the Part A and Part B numbers from the product label.
  4. Select whether the stated ratio is by volume or weight.
  5. Enter both densities from the technical data sheet only when converting between volume and weight.

Volume and weight are different

A ratio of 2:1 by volume means two measured volumes of Part A for one measured volume of Part B. It does not automatically mean a 2:1 ratio by weight because the two parts can have different densities.

Use only components designed to work together and follow the ratio and measuring method stated by the maker. A calculator cannot correct a wrong product ratio or substitute one hardener for another.
